Maths Mate Term 2 Sheet 8 Q. 23

Predict: I predict this is about trial and error.

Read: If you could roll the same number everytime, what number would you choose so that you could move from S to F in the least number of rolls?

Clarify: I had nothing to clarify.

Big Question: What number gets you from S to F in the least number of moves, having the same number each time?

Mathematician’s Toolbox: I used test all possibilities.

Solve: I first tried six but that kept on going in a loop. I kept on going doqn the numbers. I tried 2 it went to 2, 4(then up the ladder), 12(up the ladder again), 18 and then finally to F. It took 5 moves with the number 2.
